Dick & Karen Fisher / You Last Forever

Personal Biography

As a teenager, Dick came to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  He was discipled through Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship at college.  At Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, he met his godly wife Karen.  Karen’s father was a pastor, and she was saved as a child through her parents sharing the Gospel with her. 

Dick and Karen married June 1, 1974, the same week Dick received his Master of Divinity degree.  Since 1974, they have lived in 7 states where Dick ministered primarily as a Pastor, Church Planter, or Hospice Chaplain.  Karen with the gift of helps served faithfully beside him.

As a hospice chaplain, for 11 years, Dick provided spiritual comfort and support to thousands of patients, their families, and loved ones.  Often, he used the You Last Forever paradigm which he developed to share Jesus Christ as our only hope in life and in death. 

After reviewing You Last Forever and Dick’s calling, IBT welcomed Dick as a staff missionary.   The website www.youlastforever.com is mobile friendly and most of the content can be read in 100+ languages.  This is very important for long-term benefit to overseas students, nearly all of whom access the internet with their phones.

You Last Forever teaching and materials have been well-received by individuals representing many countries, including: the USA, Kenya, Nigeria, Sudan, Egypt, India, Nepal, Ukraine, Russia, Mexico, Haiti, and China.  In August 2015, Rev. Fisher taught You Last Forever in India, to hundreds of pastors from India and Nepal.

The objective in welcoming Dick to International Biblical Training is to produce an ever-expanding and reproducible movement for global evangelism and discipleship. (Matthew 28:18-20; II Timothy 2:2)

Karen went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2022.
